Shugborough Train Ride - View From A Daddy

If surviving my first month in charge, wasn’t enough to test my daddy skills, ‘supervising’ Xanthe’s first Mother’s Day surely would!

Hand on Heart Jewellery - View From A DaddyWe planned in advance and set about arranging something special for mommy’s first Mother’s Day. We searched the web looking for a pandora style charm that could be personalised with Xanthe’s hand print. We found just what we were looking for at Hand on Heart Jewellery. The ordering process was very easy and our hand print kit arrived within two days. We quickly set about creating our hand prints using the special kit before returning these to await our personalised sterling silver charm. It soon arrived and looked just like we had hoped for!

As well as making a personalised card at our weekly baby club we ordered a hand crafted card via Not On The High Street where you can always be assured of a beautiful gift whatever the occasion.

The cards and present were all presented along with breakfast in bed to start the day. Our plan for the day was to visit one of our favourite family destinations, Shugborough Hall. Our annual Privilege Pass entitles us full access to all the estate’s wonderful attractions. Today, we visited the Georgian Farm & Mill as well as the stunning gardens and monuments. Xanthe certainly enjoyed the animals taking quite a shine to Pudding the donkey!

Mother's Day - View From A DaddyWe hopped on the train up to the Mansion House before enjoying lunch in the Lady Walk restaurant. We then took a stroll around the gardens in the beautiful sunshine. It wasn’t long before Xanthe, who was tucked up cosily in the Baby Bjorn One carrier, fell fast asleep.

Our first Mother’s Day was wonderful and a day we shall always remember.
