Today we went along to The 2016 Acoustic Festival of Britain at uttoxeter race course which runs today through to Sunday. The weekend festival has a programme of musicians performing on the stages that encompass the heart of the activity. This evening Los Pacaminos with Paul Young headline the main stage to entertain. While we were there audiences were gathering with their chairs to grab the best spots and bask in the glorious sunshine that promises to bless Staffordshire this weekend.
Professor Pumpernickel entertained us with his super science show and magical explosions in the teepee tent. Engaging young and old you’re in for a giggle. Face painting, body art and balloon modelling are available as well as a story time tent and trampolines for the younger festival goer (additional charges apply for the latter activities).
A number of tasty food stalls offer some delightful cuisine and the huge beer tents looked to be stocked for the whole weekend’s visitors.
A mix of generations are gathering for the day while some are pitched in tents and caravans for the weekend set to enjoy the atmosphere and entertainment.
It’s a small relaxed affair for the acoustic music fan with entertainment throughout the day and evening. We had a chilled afternoon soaking up the friendly atmosphere and came away with our first friendship bands!
Check out the website www.acousticfestival.co.uk for more details and entry fees. Note there is an additional car parking charge of £5.
