Baby First Aid

Baby First Aid - View From A Daddy

On our recent visit to The Baby Show, we took part in a 30 minute session on Baby First Aid led by the British Red Cross. Using Baby Annie, we took part in a hands on practical session where we learned about how to manage emergency situations from choking to burns. We picked up some tips that were completely new to us and that we could employ if ever we needed to act quickly before help arrived from the emergency services.

Nobody likes to think of their child being in an emergency situation, but learning first aid will give you the confidence to be able to help should you need to.

one day course is offered by the British Red Cross which has been designed with parents in mind, to guide you through exactly what you need to know.

It covers a range of childhood emergency situations; from choking and unresponsiveness to fever and meningitis.

It’s perfect for:

  • parents of children of all ages (from birth to puberty)
  • expectant parents, as part of preparing for parenthood
  • grandparents

If you care for a child professionally, the paediatric first aid course meets workplace and Ofsted requirements.
