Blithbury was Frozen today as Arrendale took hold – and what a place it is! We arrived early to make sure that we could experience all of the superb activities that are on offer at Blithbury Reindeer Lodge this weekend and we were not disappointed. Greeted with huge smiles, we were informed about the timings and locations of all that the day had on offer and then guided to our starting point.
Olaf made a guest appearance too and we were even able to make an edible Olaf, which was very tasty indeed and didn’t last very long after the masterpiece had been achieved by our little lady.
All of the characters are friendly and engage the little ones in conversation. Olaf wasn’t shy about having his picture taken either as he moved throughout the different zones.
We haven’t managed a sleigh ride when we have visited before but today the weather was very kind to us so we grabbed the opportunity. Combo, our beautiful furry reindeer, trotted us around the site smoothly. All of the fellas and ladies are well rested throughout the day and so when you visit make sure you schedule in your ride around the other fab activities to get the opportunity to experience everything.
We enjoyed a tasty bite to eat in the café, which has a delicious range of cakes and light bites but we were soon back in Frozen mode ready for the sing along with Anna, Elsa and Olaf. This was a real treat as the audience, creating a ray of Frozen themed blue, sang along with the super voices of the characters. There’s no miming going on in Arrendelle.
We love this place; it’s welcoming, not over commercialised, so friendly and, above all, filled with the most beautiful creatures that we are usually only treated to in December.
So, if you ‘wanna build a snow man’ and think that ‘reindeers are better than humans’, get yourselves and your family down to Blithbury Reindeer Lodge tomorrow where you are sure to have a great time.
