Blithbury Reindeer Lodge – Meet The Babies

Reindeer - View From A Daddy

It’s the time of year when baby reindeer are born and Blithbury Reindeer Lodge want you to join them in celebrating and welcoming the new arrivals to the herd. This is a rare opportunity to see very young reindeer calves and their mums interact, play, feed and rest in the beautiful setting of our traditional Scandinavian Lodge.

Mother and Baby Reindeer - View From A DaddyIn addition to meeting mums and babies, you can explore our 30 acre site seeing and feeding* the rest of our herd as they graze in the fields. Walk around the field perimeters to observe their natural behaviour; watch feeding time at close range; get hands on with our most famous herd members during our special meet and greet sessions; attend a talk by The Reindeer Man, widely acknowledged to be the leading expert on reindeer in the UK; cheer on your favourite reindeer during our exciting reindeer race and much more.

There’ll be a bouncy castle, carnival games and street entertainment to add a real celebratory feel to the proceedings and our small herd of donkeys will also be offering children’s rides* throughout the day.

After all that fun why not sit in the sunshine and enjoy a very special Blithbury picnic hamper* in the wonderful setting of our viewing field with reindeer roaming in adjacent paddocks.

The lodge will be open between 10am and 4pm on these dates and you can arrive & stay as long as you want within these times.
