The Little Lady loves to craft and colour and most recently, since she has started nursery, write so when we were asked to try out the new range of Premium Wet Wipe Markers from Chalkola, I knew just how we would use them.
The nifty pen sets can be used on non-porous surfaces such as glass, mirrors, plastics, ceramics, whiteboards and chalkboards so I have had to hide them from Mrs VFAD in case she tries to snaffle them for school. With a range of snazzy colours from both the Party Range and the Earthy Colours pack you can create something special. I decided the best place to start would be as a welcome from the Elves on the Shelf who introduced themselves with pictures and messages blazoned across the conservatory windows. I wasn’t sure how successful I would be in creating what I had in mind but the easy to use 6mm bullet tipped pens have a simple push mechanism to get the ink flowing and ready to use.
The pens are water based and non-toxic so they are safe for children over 3 years of age, which was music to the Little Lady’s ears. There is no harsh odour like with some pens in this category and the ink is long lasting so the elves’ reminder to be good to get on the ‘Nice List’ remains in place. Because of their suitability for non-porous surfaces, the colours don’t stain and can be washed off with a wet cloth or ‘windolene’ (other brands are available).
Once you have the ink drawn down to the tips, little hands can have hours of fun creating, drawing or even learning to shape letters and numbers, which is what we have enjoyed most. As we have used a window for our creations, we have even drawn symbols for the weather for the Little Lady who is learning about seasons at school.
