I have to say that I am more than a little bit excited to share with you my review of the PacaPod Prescott which offers something quite special in changing bag design. With the little lady we had two changing bags. One came with the pushchair and was less than useful. The other was Mrs View From A Daddy’s choice of design and well it wasn’t up to much with poor expandability, it was made from material that cracked and looked rather cheap despite the brand and therefore associated cost. But, I must say I feel a little but smug that I have a PacaPod Prescott, which is none of the above and quite frankly a bag I’d be happy to wear even if I didn’t have a toddler and a newborn due for imminent arrival.
Anyway, to the features. This dreamy qualities of this super duper bit of kit are held within the name. With the option of a slim or generous profile, dependent upon your plans for the day, the PacaPod Prescott will adapt at your command. There are hidden expansion zips at the side that allow for greater capacity when needed. Within the niftily designed multi function satchel are two compartments. One contains generous sized pods in which you can pack away all the bits and pieces that are necessary for an outing with a toddler or baby or both including a cool bag facility for those snacks and bottles for added hygiene. There’s a change mat included as well as a mini draw string bag for the bits that find their way to the bottom of a regular changing bag. With a PacaPod Prescott there’s none of this ‘I know it’s in here somewhere’. The second compartment offers a parent something both practical and spacious with a padded laptop storage section which zips for added security, a key fob and mobile dividing pockets allowing for multifunctional use whether out at the park or in the office.
Made from a mix of coated and uncoated cotton the practicality of this bag as well as its stylish design is really attractive. It’s practicality extends to the wipe clean inner compartments and the usefully adjustable strap that can be used on a pram or pushchair as easily as it can be placed over the shoulder when you’re chasing after the little runners.
PacaPod describe the Prescott as a 3 in 1 organising system, which I can’t argue with but I’d like to add to this description – it’s a bloomin’ cool bit of kit for a dad on the move.
