Review: Stokke Tripp Trapp High Chair

TrippTrapp - View From A Daddy

View From A Daddy - Stokke Tripp TrappHere at View From A Daddy H.Q. we were super excited to receive our Stokke Tripp Trapp chair last week. Up until now, we have been using a regular fold away high chair with a plastic seat cover and detachable tray.

The previous chair was okay but it stained easily and the removable tray had made us somewhat lazy with meal times and eating together. Like any modern day family, there are demands on our time that meant sometimes it was ‘easier’ to eat in installments but the Stokke Tripp Trapp has redirected our patterns and it’s been great. Now, we eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at the table and talk about our day even if it is in the utterances of a 1 year old.

View From A Daddy - Stokke Tripp Trapp The Stokke Tripp Trapp was exceptionally easy to assemble. I managed it with the very helpful and inquisitive Xanthe toddling around. The chair is easily adaptable to the size of your child and what makes it even more attractive is that it grows with your little one beyond their early years. You can draw it up to your dining table allowing your little person to take part in meal times and fun activities. It’s wipe clean and the ergonomic design means that even the expected spills tend to lead away from Xanthe’s lap. We’ve got the new Storm Grey Tripp Trapp, which is just right for us. I must admit that initially I was a little apprehensive that there was no tray attached, but the effect that the Tripp Trapp has had on our way of dining has been so rewarding.

View From A Daddy - Stokke Tripp TrappWe love the Tripp Trapp and wish that we had made this our first choice from the start. If you’re umming and arrring about the cost, stop. This piece of kit is well worth the money: durable, attractive, family friendly and, just brilliant. Get the Tripp Trapp – go on!
